Romper Room Ride was nuts – tons of kick ass bikes, beautiful women, cold beer, rock and roll. Great White and Cold Filtered finished out the night after I kicked things off in the morning. Nothing like cracking at beer before 9am and it goes down like it’s 5 o’clock somewhere…
Saw some familiar faces, made some new friends, had a blast. Too bad the monsoon like rains kept people away Friday night, hard to tent-camp in that crap. But Saturday made it all worthwhile, what an awesome day!
This coming weekend I’m playing the BBQ Roundup downtown Cedar Rapids over the lunch hour on Friday, then the whole band will be playing at Cedar River Landing that evening until about 10. We’ll be giving away lots of free tickets to the Firehouse show at Linn County Fair, Thursday July 8th. That’s right – free. Just for showing up and getting crazy with us!
Saturday night I have a private party in Quasqueton with some old friends. Birthday drinking songs will ensue, massive amounts of over-the-hill jokes will be told and beer will be enjoyed. Next up are Super Size Seven gigs: Algona Rally on July 1st, Taste of Tipton July 3rd.
